When people are asked which Jane Austen book is their favourite, most people answer Pride & Prejudice, but for me it’s Persuasion. Why? Because when I read it I feel that there is still hope for my own love story and yet I feel this agony that is ripping my heart apart because reality is never the same as fiction.

There is this Twilight frenzy going around. After the movie came out all the little tween girls (even adult women) started to whisper Edward’s name in their sleep. Just let me say this…Edward is mine! 😛

“About three things I was absolutely positive. First Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him- and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be- that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”

And I’m sure about three things:

  1. I’m a sucker for romance, even the kind of romance that’s intended for teens.
  2. I will read all three remaining parts.
  3. I’m also unconditionally and irrevocably in love with Edward!

God forbid, I’ve fallen in love with Layli

This is how the narrator realizes that he has fallen in love with his uncle’s daughter Layli. It’s a perfect book for someone to get a view of how an Iranian family could be and sometimes shouldn’t be like, but the main point of this book is the love story. A young man falling in love for the first time and the difficulties he has when he tries to make his love come true.

One moment you can’t stop laughing because of all the events that take place and in the next one you try really hard to keep your tears from falling. You’ll have a hard time putting the book down and when it finally has arrvied at an ending, you just want to read it over and over again.

I hope that you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
