The story: The third installment of Meyer’s vampire-romance series finds “heroine” Bella Swan anxious to become a vampire and live forever with handsome vampire Edward. Obstacles arise when Edward demands marriage and werewolf Jacob declares his love for Bella. Don’t forget the fact that Bella’s life is in danger…again.

Opinion: I’m not sure that this third book was necessary, but when you discover that there is money to make if you prolong the story then the quality has to step back and leave room for quantity.

There is really no character development, other than that we get to read notes that are sent back and forth between Bella and Jacob, which really belittles the characters. They are teenagers not kindergarten children. OK we get that you are hurt Jacob, she didn’t pick you, but did you ever think  that she would?

The fact that Bella is portrayed as this helpless and somewhat stupid girl who can’t take care of herself really sends out the wrong signal to all the young tweens who are diehard fans of this series. She always has to depend on others to save her and she only gets tough when she feels the need to protect her family is such a cliché.

I don’t think you would miss anything important if you skipped reading this book and went right on to read Breaking Dawn instead. This book does not add anything new to the story, in my opinion it’s simply a pocket filler for the author and the publishing company.

Soon you will hear the screams of millions girls and women all over the world. The screams will be so loud that you’ll  still hear them in a sound proof room. New Moon will be out on November 20th, like you didn’t already know that!

The follow-up to Twilight isn’t as good as the original since it lacks one essential thing and that is Edward. Yes ladies, I’m on Team Edward! In the book Jacob is meant to be a sort of comfort for Bella since Edward leaves her and vanishes, but instead Jacob makes it’s all worse. He’s like cotton candy, delicious in small doses but you get a tummy ache if you don’t stop yourself.

He is merely a distraction, because Edward is still with Bella in her thoughts and no matter how hard she tries to make herself forget him it’s impossible. In the end everything she does with Jacob is just a method to get Edward’s attention, I don’t how fair that is of her towards Jacob but I don’t really care about him because he is just a minor bump in the road to eternal love.

I’m an avid reader. In my room there are more books than anything else., but I still think that there are some books that I’ve missed reading and for me that means a great loss. Books are a magical wonder, they can make you feel everything and nothing, all at the same time. You read books to escape the world, to just pass the time or maybe even find answers (not talking about the encyclopedia or a dictionary).

My question is: Which books should a person have had read before the opportunity is lost? And to all you little Twilight fans…no I don’t think that the Twilight series is God’s gift to the literary world. I’m talking about masterpieces not fiction for people who think Edward Cullen is Robert Pattinson and not the other way around.

So…vampires are the new hot thing in Hollywood for those of you who have been in a media coma since last year. The latest addition is The Vampire Diaries based on the book series by author L.J. Smith and it premiers on September 10th on The CW channel.

Many people will definitely compare this with Trueblood and Twilight, but I don’t think that’s fair since these book were written before any of them and the storyline differs…you’ve heard these arguments before right? And to all those who keep complaing that Elena is blonde in the book and the actress isn’t…if that’s your only issue with the whole show then you should just zip it.

All I’m saying is that you should give the show a chance before you rip apart and throw it to the wolves.

There is this Twilight frenzy going around. After the movie came out all the little tween girls (even adult women) started to whisper Edward’s name in their sleep. Just let me say this…Edward is mine! 😛

“About three things I was absolutely positive. First Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him- and I didn’t know how dominant that part might be- that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.”

And I’m sure about three things:

  1. I’m a sucker for romance, even the kind of romance that’s intended for teens.
  2. I will read all three remaining parts.
  3. I’m also unconditionally and irrevocably in love with Edward!
